Robotics manufacturing company iRobot has introduced a wall-Following Technology based robot that can clean your home. The company assumes its the start of cleaning revolution. Maybe right! After all the company has introduced sweeping and vacuuming robot. The robot will ease out the working-man efforts.

The robot can vacuum carpets in the rooms and hard floors in the homes. The cleaning robot has a Self-Adjusting Cleaning Head that allows robot to adjust automatically between various floor types. Patented 3-Stage Cleaning System adds comprehensive cleaning coverage feature to the robot. There are counter rotating brushes and power vacuum. Wi-Fi connectivity facilitated people to use internet anywhere in the home, building or shopping mall. Its the super fast wireless way to connect to the World. But there is an issue with Wi-Fi – lack of speed. But speed problem isn’t there anymore because researchers from Japan has introduced a 20 times fast wireless data transmission speed technology called Terahertz Wi-Fi.

The new super fast Wi-Fi connectivity is using the unregulated terahertz band of the electromagnetic spectrum to transmit data. Researchers achieved 3GB real-world wireless speed but Terahertz technology is capable of 100GB/s. The latest super fast technology is smaller and cheaper.

Pegasus Global Holdings is constructing a testing home for the latest renewable energy technology and terrorism security systems. The testing home is called Ghost Town sounds more like a horror sci-fi movie. Ghost Town is situated in Lea County, N.M.

Ghost Town will provide a perfect environment for testing new tech-equipments. There will be no human population but you will find buildings, offices, homes and roads along with much testing systems. There will be testing setup for every tech-system including self-driving cars, smart grids, citywide wireless networks and whatever companies or clients want to test.

The Ghost Town is a $1 billion project and will create 350 permanent jobs and 3,500 temporary jobs. Such innovative and futuristic projects will definitely lead the tech world into a stream of great inventions. It will open up a new window for the researchers as well.

Apple will introduce $799 MacBook Pro in third quarter of this year. The MacBook Pro is equipped with features expecting to compete strongly against the the upcoming second wave of ultrabooks. The upcoming MacBook is ultra-thin and light weight.

Like iPad 3 (New iPad), 15-inch MacBook will support retina display and users can switch between several Retina resolution modes. The design is so thin that it cannot have optical drive. Instead of eject button, there will be a power button on the keyboard. Ethernet port is expected to be replaced by an extra Thunderbolt port. Unlike previous Mac, the upcoming design will support USB 3.0 and latest Ivy Bridge processors from Intel.

How Jets Will Look Like In Future [Pictures]

World’s top aircraft engineers are asked to design jets which consume less fuel and must have the capability to fly cleaner and quieter. Jets with such features and specification will definitely solve the current hardest problems in commercial aviation. The project is initiated by NASA. Here are some jets proposed by different aircraft engineers for future.

1. Box Wing Jet:

To overcome the fuel consumption problem in jets Lockheed Martin engineers proposed a Box Wing Jet design. With looped-wing configuration design the Lockheed Martin engineers are sure that lift-to-drag ratio will increase by 16 percent. With such increase in lift-to-drag ratio it will be possible to reduce the fuel consumption.

2. Supersonic Green Machine:

Lockheed Martin engineers displayed Supersonic Green Machine to avoid the noisy, inefficient and highly polluting supersonic aviation. Supersonic jet series ended its operation in 2003 because of noisy flights but this time Martin engineers came up with a different supersonic design. The Green Machine can switch into conventional turbofan mode during takeoff and landing with the help of variable-cycle engines. In engines Combustors will reduce supersonic noisy effect.

3. Boeing SUGAR Volt:

Boeing SUGAR Volt is designed to overcome fuel consumption problem. The SUGAR conserves fuel with battery packs and electric motors present in it hybrid propulsion system. During take off Boeing SUGAR consumes energy both from jet fuel and batteries but at a constant altitude batteries are enough.According to Boeing’s principal investigator, “By making the wing thinner and the span greater, you can produce more lift with less drag.” With the combination of high-lift wings, hybrid powertrain and open-rotor engines SUGAR Volt can perform 55 percent more efficient.

BlackBerry 10 will be launched this fall commercially. Thorsten Heins seems very excited about BB 10, he said, “I’m so excited to have this in my hand.”

The upcoming BlackBerry 10 is equipped with a very smooth interaction between applications as you don’t need to to return to home screen or completely switch apps etc. The technology behind is Glancing Back. Thorsten Heins said, “No one has time to pop in and out of applications every time they want to change an application. We want to use a paradigm that is easy and fast. It’s all about the flow.”

One very different feature in BlackBerry 10 is an onscreen keyboard unlike RIM’s physical keyboards. You simply type and BlackBerry predicts. There is an option if you want to delete any word or statement.

BlackBerry 10 is enriched with a Time-Shifting Camera. The camera has the tendency to capture imagery before and after you shot a picture. This camera feature enable users to go back in time.
