The Videos cover a wide range of early and later happenings including supernova explosion and 14 billion years of cosmic evolution etc. Before making such videos, researchers worked out about the composition, distribution, temperature and other important properties of matter. Then Ralf Kaehler converted the whole data into a series of 3D videos.

An associate professor of physics at Stanford University Tom Abel said, “I’m trying to predict the past — how the universe came to be the way that it is today.” Further he explained, “They died quickly and seeded the cosmos with the chemical elements necessary for life. Just 100 million years after the Big Bang, galaxies started to assemble, one star at a time, and they are still growing today.”

The filming HD cameras will be installed outside the International Space Station with the joint collaboration of Russian Space Agency. The cameras will capture the Earth continuously and then footage will be sent the the ground base- station from where it will be streamed for the people via www.urthecast.com. The cameras have the high efficiency and can capture 40 km wide, high resolution, color images.

With this streaming service you will be able to see continents, oceans, countries etc from space live. Even though you will not present at the International Space Station but still you can experience the Earth from space. Co-founder Scott Larson says, ““Because we know where the space station is, you’ll be able to enter your address and find out when it will be on you next or see past images from your area, then you can walk outside and organize an event for when it will be over you again.”

Space shuttle Discovery served NASA for about 27 years and was Nasa’s Orbiter Fleet leader too. It flew 39 time for different space exploring missions. With Discovery’s retirement an era of space shuttles is ended. Former astronaut Mike Mullane says, “It’s a very emotional, poignant, bittersweet moment. When it’s all happening you think, This will never end,’ but we all move on.”

The new app allows users to explore the universe on their iPads in high-resolution. Wonders of the Universe features 3D exploration on iPads. Text embedded photos and videos make the exploration distinguished.

The new iPad application includes 210 full-color articles along with dozens of photos. The app incorporates a Brian Cox’s award-winning two and a half hours video. The app allows users to explore in a different way as it offers Glide feature. While reading, photos and videos will appear on screen without even any extra touch.

Digital Product Consultant for Harper Collins, Matt Walton said, “Instead of following the page metaphor, Glide creates a simple, scrollable column of text that introduces rich media elements — video, image galleries and interactive infographics — at appropriate moments in the narrative. Whereas many applications entice you away from the story causing distraction, Glide weaves multimedia into the narrative leading to a deeper engagement”.

There are seven different and unique content tabs, Subatomic, Atomic, Solar System, Stars, Milky Way, Galaxies, and Universe. Digital Publisher for Collins, Alex Gatrell said, “We wanted the user experience to be one of unconstrained discovery, so we gave them the option of jetting off on their own through the 3D Universe, to a Black Hole for example, where they could call up related content on arrival. But, if they preferred, they could [take] Brian Cox’s guided tours of the Solar System and the Universe for a more curated experience”.

The video takes you in a feeling where you sitting in International Space Station and watching star trails around you. More like, sitting in your room with a wide window and its raining outside.

Don Pettit writes, “Space Station makes one revolution every 90 minutes (the Moon takes 28 days). As a result, long-exposure pictures taken from the Station show star trails as circular arcs, with the center of rotation being the poles of Space Station”.

The photographer Alex Rivest said, “On a lucky night living in the city, you can maybe see 5 stars if you are lucky, so to be able to get away from light pollution and be reminded of how many stars there are is always a humbling experience”.

The Giant Magellan Telescope will consist of 6 circular mirrors. The telescope will be equipped with an advanced adaptive optics system. It will have 4 times more powerful light-gathering ability. The gigantic Magellan project is a $50 million project and expected functional in 2018.
