From capital to Guangzhou – China has officially opened the world’s longest high-speed rail line on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012. The 2,298 kilometers line connects the country’s economic hub in South – Guangzhou to capital in North. The new fastest transport system will boost the economy of China.
The first bullet train G80 departed from Beijing at 9 a.m. for Guangzhou on the opening day of the longest high-speed rail line. Train covered the total line distance in eight hours running at a speed of 300 kph. Before this trains used to reach from one city to the other in 20 hours.
