Windows 8 is the latest operating system for the desktops by Microsoft with very bold and powerful features including dual booting. If you are using Windows 7 and want to switch to Windows 8 but you don’t know how it will work for you then you must have a pre-experience for Windows 8 and its very easy to have it. You can now install Windows 8 on your computer without interrupting the installation of Windows 7. After using it you can make a better choice for yourself. Follow the steps below for the installation.

Start the process by downloading Windows 8 pro. After downloading put the copy on your DVD or USB.You can download Windows 8 pro here.

Now you need to run the compatible check for your computer. To do so, download “Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant application” and then run it. A screen will appear saying “Let’s see what’s compatible”.

When the upgrade assistant process finishes, a screen will appear saying “here’s what we found”. You can now see the compatibility details and then press “Next”.

After clicking next another screen will appear saying “choose what to keep”. Now select “Nothing” and the click “Next” button.

Now you need to buy Windows 8 Pro. Click on “Order”. After this you will get a Windows 8 Pro product key on the screen saying “thanks for your order”. Save this Windows 8 Pro product key somewhere.

Windows 8 pro will start downloading and you can see it via this screen.

When downloading is finished then select “Install by creating media” from the 3 options on the screen saying “Install Windows 8″. Now press “Next”.

A screen will appear saying “Choose which media to use” select “ISO file” and then click “Save”.

Save that ISO file somewhere you can browse easily such as save it on your Desktop.

Now you need to burn the ISO files to a DVD. Click on “DVD Burner” and place a blank DVD in the drive. Now click “Finish”.

Now another screen will appear saying “Windows Disc Image Burner”. Click on the ” Burn” button. Now you will be having a Windows 8 copy on your DVD.

Now you need to create a partition for your Windows 8. This partition will make it possible to install your Windows 8 without harming Windows 7. Click on “Start menu” then right-click “Computer” and now click on “Manage”. After this click on “Storage” and then “Disk Management”. When you have done you will able to see the following screen on your desktop.

Now right-click the hard disk you selected for the installation of Windows 8. Now select “Shrink Volume”, this will show you the space on the disk.

You need at least 20GB of free space for Windows 8. You can vary the volume of the free space on your selected disk.

Now you will see an “unallocated” disk with black bar on top. Click on this disk and keep clicking until an option appears saying “Format Partition”. Now format it.
16.
Put the name of this hard disk as “Windows 8″. Now you can install Windows 8 without affecting your windows 7.
17.
Now insert Windows 8 disk and reboot your computer. A screen will appear saying “press any key to boot from CD or DVD”. Press the key and start the installation process.
18.
Now you have to choose your language for installation. After selecting it, click on “Install Now”.
19.
Now enter the Product Key you saved earlier. After this press “Next”.
20.
Now a screen will appear on your computer with two options, select “Custom” and then click “Next”.

Now carefully select the disk for the installation. Select “Windows 8″ and then press “Next”.

Once the installation is finished and you start your computer now you can make a choice to use either Windows 8 or Windows 7.
