Felix Baumgartner – the Austrian daredevil, breaks the sound of speed as he jumped form the edge of the space on Sunday at 833.9 mph. He rose 24 miles above the Earth and then he stepped forward for the historic jump. He landed back on Earth in southeastern New Mexico.
Felix Baumgartner has been preparing physically, mentally and logistically for this historic jump since last five years and his dream came true this Sunday. The mission observer Brian Utley says that Felix flew higher than anyone else in a helium balloon.
Felix Baumgartner said, “I was fighting all the way down to regain control because I wanted to break the speed of sound. And then I hit it.”
There is an interesting statement said by the mission control before he jumped , “Guardian angels will take care of you.” Flex replied, “The whole world is watching now.”And after giving a salute he jumped and jumped to make it long lasting and he made it in the end.
Baumgartner said, “There was a period of time where I really thought, ‘I am in trouble. But after a couple of seconds, I had that feeling I’m getting it under control. And I did. And that’s why I broke the speed of sound today.”
