Started with just as a source of fun and joy Video Games have gone through quantam shifts since their launch. There were days when we got only cute video games like Mario Bross, ViewSonic, Mac Man etc. Now people demand more thrill, adventure with realistic graphics. This list of the top 10 scariest video games consists of terrifying titles that give us the creeps right through our consoles. These games are still on shelves and still playable on the current generation of consoles, in fact their fans grew into more than thousands.

9 - Condemned: Criminal Origins

8 - BioShock

7 - Dead Rising

6 - Doom 3

5 - Silent Hill Homecoming

4- F.E.A.R. 3: Project Origin

3 - Left 4 Dead

2 - Resident Evil 5

1 - Dead Space


Although scary enough but with every new release and with increasing demands from fans these games are getting more and more scary and visual graphics intensive.

    Bioshock (the 2nd was terrible)
    Resident Evil 1/2
    Dino Crisis
    FEAR (The 1st one)

    The first Dead Space was by far the scariest game, much more scary then any of the games listed here, and dead rising 2? really? that game isn’t even sopposed to be scary.

    Both Dead Space games are about as scary as making a sandwich, and seriously Dead rising 2? that not even a horror game. Who ever wrote this list has clearly never played these games. Come back and try again after playing Silent Hill 2, Project Zero, the first F.E.A.R game

    I agree with everyone this list is terrible. My favourites would have to be the Clocktower games, The Suffering (the first one), the first F.E.A.R game, Silent Hill 2/3, Resident Evil 1/2.
