Whats new in Microsoft Kinecta (Ex Natal), playing without controls

kinect Whats new in Microsoft Kinecta (Ex Natal), playing without controls

This week is the week of the games. Why? Because it is being carried out E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or the biggest show of video games. Known by the amount of revelations and developments that brings, E3 is practically a look at what lies ahead next year in video games

And one of the news, is that now the Natal Project, Microsoft’s bid for the motion sensitive controls that we have waving arms and jumping like crazy on the Nintendo Wii, Kinecta will be called.

Unlike the Wii (or the Playstation Move), Microsoft Kinecta not use any control. Using a stereoscopic camera (which can, therefore, detect the depth, besides the location), to detect the movement and represent them on screen, Microsoft plans to eliminate the need for controls completely.

Definitely an interesting bet, but given my encounters with this technology before, I’ll have that “seeing is believing” or, better said, “try to believe.” As you can see in the promotional video (and the games announced), Microsoft is aiming more towards the casual market with Kinecta. If the Wii has attracted many people who had never touched a console in his life, completely remove the control could be an attractive invitation to make even the most reluctant gamer.

Here is a video game Star Wars, perhaps one of the most anticipated

Just hopefully not forget the other gamers, and show some Gears of War 3. Microsoft Kinecta is expected for November this year (2010)
