Yahoo released a mobile app called Axis this Wednesday. The released app made Yahoo to join the group of browsers used for Internet search. The app is pretty convenient and capable to show results in visual formats. A nice change!
The Axis Mobile App supports only Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. So surely, the app is only for Apple iDevices and you can download it from iTunes. However, computer and laptop users can use the software as a plug-in for desktop browsers.
The search results are displayed in a panorama of visual thumbnails. The results can be scrolled too. Yahoo Inc. senior vice president, Shashi Seth said, “Searching through links has outlived its utility. Users are demanding more now because we are all short on time.”
