After months and months of waiting, finally the popular jaibreak Spirit is now available!
This Spirit Jailbreak promted us something quite important: the possibility of making a jailbreak untethered iPhone 3G and new iPod Touch. Jailbreak previous alternatives, such as blackra1n, for example, we were forced to run again whenever reinitiated jailbreak the iPhone / iPod Touch.
To make things clear:
- This system not unlock the iPhone. If they brought a U.S. iPhone for use on a local operator, for example, the best we can do is update the iPhone to 3.1.3, but 3.1.2 and remain in use and Blacksn0w blackra1n (here the tutorial).
- They need an iPhone activated and functional, not a berth in the “Connect to iTunes” or emergency calls.
- Works with any version of iTunes 9
- You need not connect the iPhone on every restart, as we forced the 3G or third generation iPod Touch.
Spirit in the IPAD should be considered beta and some simply Cydia packages are not created for this gadget, so it could ruin the OS (forcing us to reinstall everything).
The process is super simple. All you have to do is to have iTunes installed (version 9.x), the connected device, and run Spirit. You’ll see a button that says jailbreak. Just give it click, wait a few seconds, and voila!
In Windows, you may need to put the compatibility mode in Windows 98 to avoid the error c0000005.
