Remote controls are serving the electronic technology for more than 60 years. The remote control technology undoubtedly brought big ease when you want to change a TV channel, opening a garage door, wants to change a song from a DVD etc. But with the time and the invention of gesture and voice controlling systems the value of remote controls is decreasing dramatically and maybe after sometime you will not be finding remote control under the pillows.
There are many examples that contribute in favor of the statement “Is this The end of the remote control?”. Latest Microsoft’s Kinect system for the Xbox 360 game console has introduced a new interacting system, that isn’t remote control. Samsung’s Smart TV is using both gesture and Facial recognition software to interact with Tv. Voice recognition softwares also eased the searching feature. You can turn your TV “on” and “off” with simple voice commands.
The all above mentioned latest interacting tools serving the latest technology but maybe its the time to quit the remote control technology. It will take time but the day isn’t far away that you will be changing TV channels with your face moments.
