After a long wait, the latest version of Ubuntu, 10.04, is finally available for anyone interested in trying it.

With this new version of Ubuntu, we have a whole new look (change the skin), leaving behind many shades of brown for an interface that is more serious (and better, in my opinion).

In addition, Ubuntu 10.04 now bring “I Menu”, which is responsible for managing all our activity on the web, from a single menu. From there, we have access to Facebook, Twitter, plus Chat, immediately:

The other big news is that now Ubuntu comes with a integrated music player with a music store that allows us to buy songs with a couple of clicks. This can attach to Ubuntu One (basically Ubuntu Dropbox, online storage), and put all our music on the web, to listen to anywhere.

Windows user?

The best way to try Ubuntu, without resorting to the slow LiveCD, or to at-risk and prevent your hard drive partitions, is to use Wubi.

What Wubi does is, basically, as an application to install Ubuntu over Windows. When you reboot the machine, give us the option of uploading or Ubuntu, or Windows.

Ubuntu is bored? No problem! Simply remove Ubuntu as if it were another Windows application, and the system will continue to run smoothly!

This is the best way to install Ubuntu if you have Windows on the PC and are not sure they want to tie with Ubuntu forever. And if we give you a Ubuntu native speed except in the initial charge, it will take a little longer.
