iTunes 9.1 just came out, and among some small improvements (no, not yet get the player we all want to light), has also included a fairly important for future iPads users: the ability to synchronize books.
Now, do not panic if they see the section “Books” just launch the new version, it will not appear until we have a few books in our library, which will now.
Despite some rumors iTunes 9.1 which was blocking the update and sync with iPhones, let me say that I did not have any problem, and I tried with 3 different iPhones: the 2G and 3G (both jailbreakOne in 3.1, the other at 3.1.3) and 3G (for the moment what I have without jailbreak).
Sync with iTunes 9.1 books
Well, let’s what interests us. The first thing we have to do is download iTunes 9.1 and install it. After waiting to update our music library, iTunes will as always, so it’s time to start looking for books.
If you have a book on Doc, RTF, PDF, PRC or any other format, then you must first convert it to EPUB. The advantage? That this is the standard format of ebooks, so not only is compatible with the IPAD, but we can easily send it to the iPhone / iPod Touch (Using Stanza). To convert the book, Calibre will need a program that recently mentioned as the best to manage our eBooks. You can download the program and follow the tutorial from here: EPUB ebooks to convert with Calibre.
Optionally, you can download a book and from ePub format http://www.epubbooks.com/ to test with iTunes. Just go there, download a book.
Once you have downloaded the file and iTunes 9.1 EPUB open and running, simply drag the EPUB to the main iTunes window (it can), and voila! The category “Books” will appear in iTunes.
Once we have the IPAD with us, you can simply download the application of iBooks App Store, Synchronize your IPAD.
NOTE: Users of iPhone / iPod Touch you want to get ebooks: download Stanza, turn the gauge to EPUB books, but instead of dragging them to iTunes, from the same caliber can synchronize it with Stanza.
