Exploring the vast solar system is not an easy task at all. It requires huge dedication and well authenticated information. But a visual representation of solar system is the very easy way to understand the basics. Krystian Majewski has created a spatial representation of every star within 14 light-years of the Sun in orthographic projection making the things easier to understand.
There are 32 stars within 14 light-years of the Sun and each star is colored according to the spectral type (it may not reflect the actual color though). You may not be able to see the all stars because there are many dwarf stars. You can use the zoom in and zoom out features for your assistance. You can rotate the map by moving the mouse while holding the button. To know about a particular star just click on it. To view this map you need to have Adobe Flash Player Plugin (at least Version 9 is required). Click here to see the map.
