Mozilla is not known for phones but for computing products. However, this time Firefox OS Developer Preview Phone is the product unveiled by Mozilla. The new phone will assist developers to test software for the new platform. It is a joint production of Geeksphone and Telefonica. The phone will run Firefox’s HTML 5-based operating system.

The new mid – range phone by Mozilla is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 CPU. It features a 3.5” HVGA multi-touch screen, a 3-megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM memory. Aprt from these features you will have a microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi N, MicroUSB slot, plus a variety of sensors, including light, proximity and g-sensor. The prices are not known yet but the phones will hit the markets in February.
