Ever wonder what the guys at Space Center, in different countries do ? Here I show you one of the other important activities to keep our only habitate in this universe safe, yes form millions of things orbiting in Space around our earth. It looks like a science fiction movie but its real. The technology used,  is awesome, to display real-time, almost any object orbiting the Earth. Its called Space Monitoring System, also known as the Space Fence and is a radar system that detects objects up to only 10 cm, nearly 30,000 kilometers.

Space Fence is expected to begin initial operation in 2015 and is said to replace existing Air Force Space Surveillance System or VHF Fence which is in service since early 1960s. Space Fence will be a network of ground based radars to detect, track, measure thousands of objects in low-earth orbit with highest degree of precision.

What I like the most is the interactive and stunning graphical interface of the system which seems Straight out of a good Science Fiction movie like Star Wars.
